Why did we feel the need to create another height stick?

Since 2004, we'd been selling the old-fashioned yellow height stick. Over the years, our customers told us there were things that they didn't like about this height stick.  They wanted thicker fiberglass, stronger buttons, and a smaller collapsed length. The old yellow height stick that we sell has a collapsed length of 64 inches. This red height stick has a collapsed length of 53 inches.  How were we able to do that? By going with 4 telescopic vertical sections instead of 3, it collapses down smaller!

By the way, in addition to being easier to store when it's fully collapsed, the Big Red Height Stick is also cheaper to ship. In addition to charging the normal shipping amount on the old yellow stick, UPS charges us an over-size fee because it is in excess of 60 inches. Since the Big Red Height Stick has a collapsed length of just 4 ft 5 inches, you will end up paying about half as much for shipping cost!
